Marilyn Murphy is in private practice in Scottsdale where she practices in the areas of divorce and family law. She is a member of the Arizona  and Kansas  bar associations and is past president and board member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Marilyn received her law degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City where she majored in tax law.  She has also taken international law courses at Oxford University in England. Marilyn qualified as a mediator at Harvard University through th eAmerican Bar Association.  She also served as a judge pro tem in Maricopa County Superior Court and is a board member of various legal and charitable boards.

Marilyn has considerable experience in representing clients in international cases with Hague requirements.  She also served in 2007 as the only attorney on the Arizona Senate committee revising custody jurisdiction for military service men and women, and she advised the office of Representative John Shaddeg in reference to a similar bill being presented to the US Senate.
